Case Study - Kensington and Chelsea Social Council
Training on Creating Successful Business Partnerships
KCSC are the Council for Voluntary Services (CVS) for The Royal Borough of Kensington & Chelsea. We act as a second tier organisation, advising, supporting and promoting the voluntary sector in the borough.
Why did KCSC want to run the course?
It would introduce
our service users to a new form of partnership they previously considered
inaccessible (particularly very small, volunteer based groups).
It would give
our service users some insight into the world of business and help them
understand how best to engage with this world.
It would provide
a fresh approach and some new ideas on how to approach the business sector.
About The Trainer
Rosanna is
clearly very committed to supporting the voluntary sector and the feedback
from learners illustrates that her positive attitude spread through the
group.
She has a non-patronising
style and manner, an approach that inspired the learners and convinced
them that there was no reason they couldn't form successful partnerships.
As the co-ordinator
of KCSC's training calendar it is my responsibility to recruit and liase
with external trainers. Working with Rosanna could not have been more
straightforward. She is reliable, helpful, approachable and very likeable!
What Impacts Did the Course Have?
Learners felt
motivated and inspired to move forward with making organisational links
with the business sector.
Learners had a greater understanding of the benefits of partnership working
and why they should pursue partnerships with the business sector.
